Reflextion
I seem to be having problems the Uv texturing. When i apply a texture onto my mesh it doesn't turn out how i want it to look, it comes out the total opposite. I have usesd various types of uv maps ranging from cylindrical to planer mapping.

Reflextion
The only problem that i seem to be having is sorting out my UVs it seems to be frustrating me but i am getting there step by step. Its just when i apply a texture to it certain parts stretch and it doesnt look to good, this happens on most of my buildings.

I have started to apply some colours to my vehicles, i created the textures in Photoshop, i want to get an idea of how the hovering car will look whith the colours i have selected. I am not to sure if these will be the colours i am going to use. The last vehicle two vehicles that i put in my research is what my vehicle is based on, an old style Citron. I wanted to base my car on bladerunner, an old syyle vehicle.

Reflextion
I have started to texture some of my buildings, it going ok i still feel down in terms of my modelling and what i have contributed, but if the textures are good it will improve how it would look visually. But at the end of the day i know i could do better, i personally think we were a bit ambitious in terms of what we chose.

These are some of my models that i have done in Maya so far. In order to make my models more affective i will have to find and create good textures. At the moment i am looking for car designs, because in our scene i am going to have a futuristic car in the scene. Therefore i am going to look at mordern cars and old cars, so i do not limit myself in any way when comeing up with my design.

Building 2
Building 1
Monday, 15 February 2010
These are some of my sketches of the buildings. Most of the designs that i have are based on my research that i have gathered. I am not too sure which designs that i am going to go for next. I i feel these drawings look different to most buildings, or though they do have some similarities which i deliberately made. the last post shows a building that looks similar to the gherkin building in London. But at the same time i am not happy with my building designs i feel i can do a bit more. I feel at this stage i am behind and i need to start looking at textures.

stephan Martiniere
Stephen Martiniere is anartist, cartoonist, concept illustrator, and animation director working primarily in the science fiction and fantasy fields. After looking at his work i think his work is brilliant. I like the colours that he uses they are subtle and dynamic. After looking at his work his work it seems to me that his influences come from the godfather of futuristic art, Syd Mead. Even looking at the buildings they look very similar to Syds.
